About a month ago, the boys and I met up with my cousin Kelli and her boys. We had been talking about getting together for past 6 months and it finally happened.We had a GREAT time at Habitot in Berkeley and then we had lunch in Pleasant Hill. If you are ever in the Bay area with small children Habitot is a must. The main room had the space shuttle set up again. Henry was content to stay there the whole time. Calvin, of course, enjoyed the pretend grocery store.
I must say that the best part, other than hanging out with my cousin, was that when we showed up at Habitot, they told us that we came on a free day! Bonus.

I LOVE habitot!! And took pride in the fact that WPNS, our kid's preschool, was set up so similarily. Jaden loved the face crayons as I see Henry did. We went to IKEA afterwards and I couldn't figure out why everyone was staring at him...then it clicked (his face was totally painted, which he did all by himself).
I LOVE free days.
I'll have to check out habitot - although I don't know when I'll ever be in the bay area with small children.
Maybe when I'm a grandma.
I can't get my boy away from their darn train table, and now that's Em has discovered the water area she's angry if I try to show her anything else!
our membership ends in a few weeks and instead of renewing I think we'll support the Explorit center which has the recipricol free admission deal
