This morning when I woke up I was thinking about a few of the things that I enjoyed about being in the hospital. I'll share them with you.
*Having all of my meals brought to me, on a tray.
*Endless supplies of the "Pregnancy Cocktail" (O.J., Sprite and cranberry juice)
*Friends coming to visit and bringing Burgerville Fresh Rasberry Shakes with them. Those kinds of visitors are ALWAYS welcome!
*My favorite nurse, Jamie
*The night nursery, where Agnes Mae took long 5 hour stretches. I believe we got more sleep in the hospital than we had been getting for weeks before hand.
*Having only 1 nurse, during my entire 4 day stay, ask me where my pain was on a scale from 1-10.
*Not being awakened to have my blood pressure taken.
*Being in an enormous room. Apparently the rooms are not all that big at this hospital. We just lucked out.
*Having David with me all day every day.
*Staying in my PJ's for 4 days.
*Cable T.V.
*Air Conditioning
*Flowers
*The new barf bags they have in the hospital. They no longer hand you a ridiculously small kidney shaped tub to vomit into. Someone finally got smart.
*Dr. McDreamy coming to discharge me and acting extremely awkward. It made me smile.
I am sure that I could continue to come up with more items, but it might make me miss the hospital too much. And I actually really like being home, too.
But I'll save that for another post.

you had a csection, right? it seems to me that csection mamas always appreciate the hospital perks a bit more than the others. i missed it when i left, too, but then again, i was itching to get home because I knew my mom had bought me new sheets while i was gone. :)
I also enjoy all of those things about the hospital. Except I've never had dr. mcdreamy... lucky you. Agnes is such a sweetie. How is it now with 3?
Mother said she would make the doll.
You look so good after having a baby, hair done and everything! Agnes is also so adorable!
I am jealous that your stay was nicer than mine. I remember a lot more awful things. They wouldn't let me eat for two days. I was starving! I finally snuck some of Jake's TGIF's and loved every bite of it.
Pheobe congratulations!!!!! I am so excited for you, Your family is adorable!!! Love Jayme
Re: the kidney shaped tubs, I totally agree, whose idea was that?? I remember when I was in transition telling the nurse I thought I might barf and she said, "Do you want a basin?" In my delirium I had no idea what she was talking about and said, "What's a basin?" She handed me that tiny little thing and said, "Here." Luckily I didn't have to use it; otherwise there would have been a little bit of a mess.
I did use them later to wash my face. But they are still ridiculously tiny.
Also, I am glad you had such a nice stay.
I am very glad I made your blog! I am with you on the hosptial stay. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Also, when you finish that Ann Brashares book, can I borrow?
Cute Phoebe, other than a few things, we can certainly recreate your hospital stay. I am sure I have a bag around the house, I can bring you a meal on a tray and we can rent some Grey's Anatomy, if you like. I am glad you had a nice stay. But glad you are home as well. Agnes is lovely. Can't wait to see you both soon.
