The big day

I am playing picture catch up today .
My actual birthday was fabulous! I was able to sleep in, had lunch with my gal pals (pictures coming soon!), went out to dinner, opened presents, and had some of the yummy cake that David made.
Calvin was in love with Red Robin. I guess it doesn't take much!
On Friday morning I celebrated by getting a sitter for the boys and going to a movie with Agnes. So fun! One of my friends was even able to join me. We had a great time getting to know the staff at the theater. I will definitely look for John the next time I go to a movie.
Saturday morning, I was able to go to breakfast at Paradise Bakery with the entire Young Women's board (the adult women that work with the girls ages 12-18 in our church) 4 of us have October birthdays. The food was so yummy, I highly recommend the Oatmeal served in an Oatmeal Cookie Bowl. It was great to hang out and chat. We don't get to do that very often.
And finally, today after church we went for a nice drive. Up to OHSU to check out the view (it was actually clear and sunny today!) and then down along the river over to see the Willamette Falls. The leaves are changing colors and the scenery was even more scenic than usual.
Of course I forgot to take any pictures of these activities, so I will leave it up to you to imagine how fabulous it all was!
