It never rains in Southern California

Since I am being honest about my bad attitude, let talk climate. The rain here, it gets old. Quickly. The Pacific Northwest would not be my first pick weather wise. The job, friends, city, and lifestyle make up for the weather, but I still love to complain about it. Come to think of it, almost everyone else that lives here loves to complain about it too. That being said, sometimes, I go out to take the kids for a walk and I see this. The sky was actually clear and I could enjoy how lovely my surroundings really are. For the first few months I lived here, I felt like I was camping every time I went outside. Something about the sun filtering through the fir trees evoked memories of Lake Tahoe and family reunions.
So in my renewed effort to have a better attitude I am acknowledging that I live in a beautiful place and I am happy that I get to enjoy it. And sometimes I even like the rain.

I like rainy weather - but maybe if I lived there I wouldn't.

But the 2 weeks I spent there were pleasant - and it was rainy and cool much of the time.

I didn't mind.

Maybe it was the company though.

Your awesome friends definitely make up for it. It's so fun to get together and complain about the rain together! And in a few weeks, I have a feeling there will be no more reasons to complain!

Now that's the spirit!!!! People in Oregon have true character! There are many people that always say, I could never live there. And they are right, they have no character!!!

oh i love the rain. luckily, it rains a lot here in texas, but it's still sunny quite often, too. that is an amazing view from your walk, though. the hills/mountains are definitely lacking in the lone star state. :(

It does look beautiful! I like rainy weather, but maybe that is because I don't have it all the time.

Everything has its' price. Rain = Green = Less smog = Fewer annoying people= Better quality of life. Strange logic, I know. But check the math; it works.

Really fun seeing you last week!

Southern Cal really spoils a person. I complain about the weather in northern Utah all winter too. We too have a great view if I just open my eyes. I wonder if we'll ever be in the same place at the same time again. Don't you need a trip to Utah? We had a lot more visitors when we lived 20 minutes from Disneyland. Lagoon isn't enough of an attraction for people now. Love your blogs. Keep writing. M
