Sorry, I must once again take a moment to brag about Henry, but since it is my blog I guess I can do that.
We love Henry's teacher. She has been the perfect match for Henry and our family. We have the benefit of a 1/2 blend at our school, so he started off the school year with the same teacher as last year and many of the same students. What an easy transition! This is the email that I got from her after the first day of school. I am sure she sent an email to every parent, but it still made my week. And made the sting of going back to school (see previous post) go away a bit.
Hen is AWESOME! He seems to love his new role as a teacher and leader- it seems he’s been practicing it for years as a big brother! It was so good to see him again today, and I’m really looking forward to this year with him!
Love,
Mrs. X
How can we not have a great school year with a start like this?

Hooray for teachers, they are amazing people. Don't you just love when other people notice how great your kid is?
What do you mean by a 1/2 blend?
Ari is in a 5th/6th combo class and I haven't figured out yet if it's a good thing or not. Is that what Henry's class is?
What a nice thing for her to do. A good teacher makes all the difference in the world! And of course she would love Henry.
Who doesn't love Henry?
I remember when Mrs. Locklair called when she had Eliza - and when she had Noah - and just wanted to introduce herself and say how much she was enjoying Eliza and was looking forward to working with her in the coming year - I was impressed.
Still am! (I'm afraid I only call or email parents when there is a problem!!)
Henry is a great kid! I am so glad he is in my primary class, he is such a good example.
Henry is the man! Can you just move back to davis so Brielle and henry can hang out more often?
Liking the teacher makes for a much better year. Trust me. Your child thrives better and so do you.
We loop classes here. (this is new so we haven't had the benefit yet) However, my boys are in an inclusive class. They keep the same kids all the way through fifth, but the teachers change. Now we are looping this year so Jeremy's 3rd grade teacher will be Brenden's 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. Luckily, we like him.
I am not surprised. He is a great young man and loves to help.
What a perfect intro to the new year of school, I would love if I got an email like that :)
Hooray for Hen! And to you, as well, for helping to grow such a great guy.
Phoebe, I still mention Henry when I fondly remember my Primary teacher days - he always amazed us! And your kids are still cute as ever. - Garin
