History in the making

David and I have finally picked a winner! For the first time in our voting lives the candidate that we voted for actually won. Maybe the tides have changed for us. Maybe I could start picking winners at the race track, too!

I often have voted for the "losers" too - and so we are delighted with the results.

John McCain is to be commended for a very gracious and unifying concession speech.

And Pres.Elect Obama certainly reached out also.

Maybe we can all "get along!!"

I picked a winner 8 years ago and regretted it shortly after. Tonight I picked a winner again - hopefully this time around I'll be happier with my choice.

Last night my husband and I both felt like it was a very historical moment and one we were glad to be a part of.

i have to say i wasn't surprised, though i was pleased. whenever i thought about it during the campaign, i just couldn't imagine mccain and palin winning. not necessarily because i don't like them or anything like that, just because it didn't seem like it would happen. and it didn't...

this is only my second presidential election (i was 17 in 2000) but it's also my first to pick a winner.

Bonny- I miss Ross Perot. He lent such an interestin flavor to the campaign.

I voted for Ross the first year I could vote - 1996! I don't think it says much about me - I was so young then and knew nothing about politics. I don't really much now either, but more than in '96.
