Just tinkering around

Why did it take me 7 years to get Tinker Toys?

wow... I haven't seen tinker toys in forever! Why do they look so fun? Calvin looks like he is pretty good at making them too!

I have a big box of Tinker Toys too - in the bench under the window in the family room - let's be sure to remember that the next time you come!!

(I have lots of treasures - I just forget about them!)

Those are a favorite here. So versatile, too--swords, cars, lawnmowers, spaceships...endless fun.

We've got a huge collection of tinker toys. One day I told him to see if he could build something using every single piece. He did it. It was monstrous (we have two of the biggest sets they sell). And it kept him busy for almost 2 hours!

Why 7 years indeed!! As a child, I spent HOURS building with tinker toys (isn't that the greatest name?) I think that my moms used to hide them for rainy days, so the first sign of rain we would be totally excited about building with them! Tell Calvin Great creation!!

Tinker Toys rock, but I don't have any. Weird. Probably because my boys are little. I have put these on Max's wish list. I love how creative Calvin is. He is such a doll! I notice that he is wearing his snow boots! So fun, he can actually use them today!

Maybe because they're kind of expensive. At least every place I've seen them I've thought, "That seems like too much to pay for Tinker Toys."

But I do want to get some in a year or two anyway. Lots of fun memories with the Tinks! (as I call them...starting this moment)
