We are bored.
Calvin misses Henry (actually, we all do), Agnes is a grouch, David is traveling and I am in a funk.
There is a hole in the ceiling of the pantry (plumbing issues), there is plastic covering the doors and windows (painting) and we were trapped in the house for a few hours today due to all of the work going on outside, which didn't do much for the funk. Calvin completely dismissed every fun activity I suggested (what kid turns down going to the lake?) and Agnes did a stellar job of screaming at the top of her lungs while I was trying to check out at the store.
It's not that we had a particularly bad day, even though it sounds like some people's worst nightmares, it's just that we are all in a funk.
Thought I would share that with all of you. I am going to continue to ponder on it and see if I can come up with a solution. I think I do my best pondering while watching TV, especially if it's Monk.

Henry was in a funk this a.m. - but I'm pretty sure it was fatigue - and it wasn't really a funk - Emma and Maggie were watching cartoons with him and they all just pretty much watched Saturday morning cartoons all morning.
Maybe that's not a funk though - maybe that's just Saturday morning!
we missed you at the lake! i'll work on my marketing skills and hopefully next time i'll make an attractive case to entice calvin and agnes to go to the swim park. but i'm sure next time they'll be more willing to go because henry will be there. hope today is better for you!
If it helps at all, I was in a funk all week. A major one. Theo was too. (Ida was fine.) I am slowly emerging, however. I hope Theo is also...
i am sorry you were in a funk - but it could not have helped that it is 100 degrees up there. (so i hear from jinny).
ice cream always fixes it for me.
I know those funks and yes, TV watching goes a ways to help with that.

I hate funks!!! We have had many, and I'm sure there are more to come. The holes in the ceiling, plastic on the windows, and Henry being gone have to be pretty big contributors. Let's meet at the lake soon and maybe Calvin will have fun with Trenton. :D
