I seem to be stuck in a pattern here. One year, awesome costumes, the next year, not so awesome. I think this is my off year. I am not saying this to get you to comment and tell me that they are awesome, I am just observing that I seem to really go all out and then the next year I don't catch the vision in quite the same way. It was definitely easier this year and we didn't make anything except to iron on the letters to the t-shirts. You may want to look closely at my t-shirt because you might miss an important letter. If you miss the letter it makes it look like I am a special type of coach that you may not have known existed.
This year of non-greatness has left me wanting more, so we already decided on next year's "theme". It will be so great, especially since I have all year to be working on it. I do realize that I may have set myself up for complete failure, but I am just going to reach for the stars on this one:)
I will try to get video of Agnes doing her cheer. It lacks any amount of enthusiasm. I am so happy that she understood that I wanted her to be an ironic cheerleader.
And on a final note, the Trunk or Treat went well. It was well attended and my committee is pretty much everything that I could have hoped for, but didn't know I wanted or needed.

i DO think they're awesome and adorable!! we're skipping the theme this year and jaden's out of the halloween spirit all together. not even planning on dressing up. gasp.
I'll give you one better, last year Theo was a BYU football player without a helmet, and Matt and I wore BYU shirts.
Ida was supposed to be a football but the brown romper and hat I bought for her were WAY too big seeing as she was barely 2 weeks old, so she wore a BYU onesie.
Anyway, I think you all look great. But what I really wanted to comment on was the sign (headstone?) in the background of your photo. "I TOLD YOU I WAS SICK." creepy!
To me, it's not the costumes that are lacking, you just simply picked the wrong color. Had you have picked a great color like....ummm....RED, I think you would have felt much better about the situation...he.he.he.
All kidding aside, your family looks great!
I think your theme was cute (and easy which is a plus.) Hey..... at least you had a theme going.
Glad to hear the first party as chair went over great. And you actually pulled a good committee together?
That must be harder than awesome themed costumes.

I am going to have to agree with Sarah, red would have been much better! Go UTES!!! Despite the wrong uniform, your family did look very cute...
I will say that Calvin and Henry look very pleased with their costumes.
That needs to count for something!!
Glad all went well.
personally i am a fan of the special coach. i was laughing really hard when i thought about an a-- coach.
i personally thought they were great costumes! however, i am very excited to see next year's costumes.
I think the costumes are darling! No such thing as an off year when you can manage to coordinate a whole family theme. Really cute!
