Are you ready for this?

Last week I got a package in the mail from Zion Judaica Ltd. You know, just some stuff for the ward party next week, of course. I didn't think anything of ordering 100 wooden dreidels for the party, but now I am worried that our ward may not be ready for what I have to offer.

They will love it - it is the Northwest, after all!

ummm...I love this post although I have to admit I am confused about the Northwest-dreidls connection brought up by Mom?

Aren't people in the Northwest broadminded?? (Hip and cool too!)

LOL @ your mom and Eliza...So Phoebe, we could GREATLY use your talents here in our ward. I think our "Activities" chair and wife are semi active, don't plan things out until maybe the week before, never get stuff on the ward calendar and leave me frustrated and unhappy. They have been in the calling as long as we have been here 2 1/2 years. In our last correlation meeting (the last sunday of NOV) the Bishop said, "So, let's do the Ward Christmas party on the 11th. Is everyone ok with that? Seriously, like the Bishop needs to be worried about that? UUUGGGGHHH.

So, all the being said, if the NW doesn't enjoy your hip and cool dreidls then Please do it in our ward ^O^

Jeff remembers having dreidls at one of our ward parties a few years ago. I can't remember what the theme was, but I also can't remember anything negative about it either.
Not that that helps you.
Anyways, it will be fun, because ward parties are fun when someone who is putting some thought and effort into the whole thing is in charge.

Wow. You are bold. I got 4 dozen snowflakes from Oriental Trading Company to hang from the wire frame work I will install in the gym. Let's save our decorations and maybe swap next year!

Post pictures please. Mine is this Friday.

Ours is this Saturday - and I hope we get home from the temple in time to attend - we work that day - but I wish I could be at yours Phoebe - and yours too Kacy, for that matter.

Our ward parties have had a certain sameness for about 30 years now, so I up for anything new!

(But I don't complain, because I don't want to be in charge!!)

Kacy-I would love to swap decorations, but I cannot believe that you are going to install wire framework in your gym. I will need step by step pictures of this process. Can't wait to compare notes!
I am not too worried about the party, but after I ordered the dreidels I worried that maybe I had been too ambitious:)
