Christmas happened at our house

Agnes slept through Christmas Eve celebrations- so then she was up until the Santa's elves started working.

Calvin refused to participate in the nativity with our neighbors.

Agnes was bright eyed and bushy tailed once we got home.
We all opened our gold gifts. Everyone got slippers this year, we have far too many jammies.

The Nativity that only one of my children was willing to participate in.

Christmas morning and evidence that David and I were up until 3 am. Actually only David made it until 3. I gave up around 1:45.
Those darned Playmobil parts!

Worth the work

Just prepping him for an Army career.

Agnes got a Bitty Baby form Santa, but she was unwilling to be photographed. I am sure that I will be bale to sneak a few pics of the camera shy "baby baby" soon.

We figured that the best way to celebrate Christmas (and to escape the ever mounting plumbing issues that cropped up on Christmas Eve-which are still being resolved) we left for California that morning and drove all day until we got to Aunt Barbara's house. When my children reminisce about Christmas dinner they will fondly recall the meal we ate from Safeway in Ashland. Luckily, Safeway was open since the only other eatery available was a sketchy looking Chinese place and I didn't feel
like risking it on a road trip.
Stay tuned for more photos from our California adventures.

I love your pink crown. Especially in the shot with your "as if" expression. Perfectly Phoebe.
