Today Agnes made her first trek with me to see my doctor. She was a bit hesitant because she thought she was going to see her doctor and the last time she went to see her doctor she got a shot. Once she realized that this appointment had nothing to do with her she was happy to be there. The best part for me was when the doctor was listening to the baby's heart and Agnes had a look of amazement on her face. For the rest of the day she has been telling everyone that there are horses in the baby's tummy. And sometimes she tells them that there are two babies. Needless to say, this is very confusing for those that do not speak Agnes' language. Right now everything for Agnes is "two". Two years old, two marshmallows, two fingers, two dinners, two turns on the swing. So two babies isn't much of a surprise. Never fear, there is only one baby.
After we left my appointment we were in for a bit of a mystery. I had to go and make another appointment, but when I went into the waiting room it was completely deserted. Usually there are 10 or so people waiting in the ridiculously huge waiting room. Seriously, the architect must have done his measurements wrong since the waiting room is ginormous and the exam rooms barely fit my rather large doctor and myself. Anyway-the waiting room was empty and a woman with authority was directing me out of the office and into the perinatoligist waiting room so I could make my appointment. That waiting room was packed. After I finished up I had to backtrack to take Agnes to the bathroom. From the bathroom I can see into my doctor's waiting room and there were two Sheriffs standing next to the door. I asked one of the receptionists what was going on and she was completely bewildered. She said that they hadn't been told anything. Now I can't stop wondering about it. I keep making up fantastic stories about what was happening. I hope that when I go in again next month I can finally get the bottom of the matter and when I do you I will be sure to let you all in on the excitement!

It would also be a good mystery if there really were horses in you or your baby's tummy.
I LOVE mysteries like that. Please be sure to report back if you find out anything good!!
I am sure it was just a pregnant inmate there for her monthly check up.
It must have really bugged that receptionist not to be in the know.
oooh - i'll have to ask jinny
