Wow! Thank you for sharing that wonderful and special experience through pictures. I have yet to witness or experience a c-section so what you were able to capture in photos was so neat. Congratulations on little Sullivan! He already looks like one of the family.
First- thank you for your nice comments. Sully is such a dreamy baby, so far:)
The photographers were David and a very kind delivery nurse. I should go and find her again and hire her. She got some really great shots.
Kelly- I wish I could have had you there to document the birth, but alas, with a c-section only one person allowed in the room. You did notice how many Dr.'s nurses, etc, were there? It gets crowded.
I hope the pictures aren't too graphic. David was surprised that I posted the one of them pulling Sully out, but despite the VERY unflattering view of my stomach it was the moment of birth, nonetheless. Unfortunately the very bright surgical lights make it hard to get a perfect shot.
Also, did anyone else notice how huge my doctor's hands are? I know he is a big man, but that picture really proves it.
After 4 c-sections, I have come to accept the fact that even though I don't give birth the way that I want to, it still is a birth and I have to embrace it for what it is.
thanks for sharing the pics. i think that is so fascinating! i've never seen a csection! and sully is so cute! :) can't wait to see pics of your other three kiddos with him :)
even though you didn't give birth "the way you wanted to," you are a trooper and an inspiration. seriously! in your attitude and in your physical endurance. everyone i've talked to has said "FOUR C-SECTIONS?? your sister is awesome." and i say, "i know."
You did get tons of great pictures. I couldn't help but notice the roomy size of the OR and the "state of the art" baby warmer... Think they're hiring?
You are an amazing woman with one very adorable little man! I loved seeing your pics and it makes me excited to do the same soon! We want to come and visit soon, I will call! Great job lady!

Great pics, I agree. If I have another baby, I am not doing it until I have a better camera.

I am reminded how miraculous all four births have been, as your birth also was in another way.

Um. The way I want to give birth is with my pants on. Sitting on a couch. Your baby is beautiful. Good job.
These pictures are amazing! What a great set of pictures to have. You make cute kids.
And Kacy made me laugh.
Kacy - there have been women I know giving birth with their pants on - but not on a couch!
