From August to January certain men in our household become entranced with a little sport called Football. This year it has been taken to a whole new level since I finally caved in and said that Henry could play. I have no idea what position he plays or how the game even works (All those years of BYU season tix did me very little good:), but he is happy. Despite all of my groaning and complaining about 6-8 hours of practice a week plus two hour games that we often have to travel to, it has been fun to watch him out there, but don't tell David or else I might be stuck doing this for many years to come!
Phoebe we spent 10+ years with Soccor, little league, and high school football, also with college rugby. Plue the city of davis basketball. I know nothing of what was going on, but I wouldn't trade those years for anything!!!
We've spent many hours and will continue to spend many hours supporting our children as they play on organized sports teams. It's what we do. It's time well spent.
Oh Amy- I hear you! We've been doing soccer, baseball and basketball for the last 5 years. I am truly intimidated by football, though, since I absolutely do not understand the game. I think I need to go find a book about it:)
It's been fun catching up on your blog. Your children are so cute! I can't believe how quickly time passes. And how on earth did Bonnie hit 40? I still feel like that super dorky Beehive admiring the coolest Laurel in the world.

I know nothing about football either. Henry looks great - but I would be interested in what you see as the "toll" it might take on him - or not!
I think he plays goalie.

Henry, I'm jealous! I always wanted to play on a football team, too. Best of luck!
You are such a good mom. I bet he loves it! But that does scare me that football could be part of our future. Don't ask me why?
