One Enchanted Evening (afternoon)

One of our first sunny days this summer! Perfect day for a trip to the Enchanted Forest.
Luckily it worked out for us to have one last chance to hang out with our dear friends,
Nancy and Piper, before they moved back east.
Sliding down a shoe
Over-priced bumper boats
Very exciting over-priced frog ride
Happy baby. As usual, content to be along for the ride.
Peeking in the 7 dwarfs' windows to see if they were there. It was very messy.
Snow White had not yet arrived and the dwarfs were busy working in the mine.
Tickets!
Or paper gold, as I like to call them.
Agnes refused to go in to the witch's mouth.
Most of the day was spent walking a fine line between amusement and terror.
But it was a fun terror. I think.

If you ever want to be highly entertained while your children are being highly entertained you have to check out The Enchanted Forest in Salem, OR. This place is a blast from the past and worth the drive to check it out the kitsch. Be forewarned, the entrance fee is not bad, but they will get you with the tickets for rides. However, there is so much to do and see that does not require tickets that you could make it through the day without any extras. I also didn't realize that the entire park is built in a hillside. I was able to maneuver most of it with my stroller, but it was a serious workout and I had to ditch the stroller a number of times to go into the little houses, rabbit holes, diamond mines and witch's mouths.

I've always wanted to check this out but it's the price that has turned me away! Good to know there is lots to do without the tickets. . .

Paper gold, I like that.

Good that you got out and had a good time with friends. Also, sometimes you go just so you can say you went.

Like how we went to the potato museum just so we could say we had. (save your money)
