Follow the Yellow Brick Road

All right, all right...I guess you don't just want to admire my fabulous costume.
Here is the rest of my posse.
David represented the Lollipop Guild. Unfortunately, Sully threw his lollipop so we were short a prop. It was also unfortunate that Henry managed to close his eyes in the group photo.
Calvin as a reluctant Tin Man. He refused to wear the heart. Oh, well. We now know that Calvin can be heartless.
The easy going Scarecrow.
Dorothy, of course.
And the most Cowardly Lion the world has ever seen.

We are already brainstorming for next year, but I really think I want to be Glinda forever. Even if driving in a hoop skirt and crown is next to impossible it's pretty fun to be magical for a day (or three).

There is a LARGE cast of characters - you could be Glinda forever and rotate the others in!!

Love the costumes. You do a great job doing the group thing. This year the boys wanted to be hobbits, and the girls were not willing to be part of the Lord of the Rings costume idea. So no group costumes for us.
Kinda sad.

The best group costume at our ward party this year was a family that came as beggars. Crazy hair, old clothes, bad teeth and cardboard signs with scripture sayings, including one that said "Are we not all beggars?"

"can you even dye my eyes to match my gown?" I think I need to rewatch this. It has been years and years.

I've always wanted to do this family theme but there was a lack of participation. Cute!
