Music anyone?

I was making a imaginary playlist in my head last night, as I was trying to fall asleep. The theme was autumn. Here is what I came up with.
1) September Morn- Neil Diamond
2)Mystery-Indigo Girls
3) Thriller- Michael Jackson
4)When September Ends- Green Day

After that I was stumped. Short list I know. Any more song ideas?

Personal FAVE... Here are the lyrics. I'm sure you would know it as soon as you heard it.

September - Earth Wind And Fire

Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the mind of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away

Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember,
how the stars stole the night away,
yeah yeah yeah.

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love,
Remember
How we knew love was here to stay

Now December
found the love we shared in September.
Only blue talk and love,
Remember
The true love we share today

Now our bell was ringing, aha
Our souls were singing.
Do you remember every cloudy day
yow !

Well, I will certainly date myself and no one who reads Phoebe's blog except maybe Dad or Frances will recognize it, but when I think of fall, I think of "Autumn Leaves."

"The autumn leaves,
drift by my window,
The autumn leaves,
of red and gold. . .

And since you went away
the days grow longer,

And I don't remember the rest - but if you hum a few bars, I could probably join in!!

okay, i can't really find songs off the bat that have a direct connection to fall. i have tons that make me feel fallish--"mushaboom" by feist, any sade, john denver, willie . . . but i can't for the life of me find something that's totally fall...indigo girls "wood song" seems fallish to me too.

I was at Office Max the other day (trying to finish my FHE packets!) and a Feist song was playing. Iw as surprised, I don't think that I have ever heard their songs anywhere but my house or your house!

I don't know how well all of these will fit, but some ideas: "Autumn in New York" (horrible movie, good song) by Ella or Billie; for the months, "October" by U2 and "November Rain" by GNR. "Leaves That are Green" by Simon & Garfunkel is a fave of mine. Also "It's autumntime, it's autumntime" from the Children's Songbook fits with the theme at least!

David Gray sounds very fallish. So does Radiohead...so does Sarah McLachlan. "The Scientist" by Coldplay sounds fallish. Pretty much anything melancholy and/or makes you want to stay indoors, reminds me of fall. "It's a Rather Blustery Day" from Winnie the Pooh is a silly one but very fallish.

I believe I'm having too much fun with this. I do love a good themey mix.

Also there's a song called "October Nights" by Yellowcard that's kinda cute. And "Girl from the North Country" by Bob Dylan also feels autumnal to me.

As you can see I've been continuing to ponder this.

When I Kissed The Teacher by ABBA... speaking of songs about people lusting after their teachers.

Ah yes, the eternal VH classic "Hot for Teacher."

Van Morrison is very fall-sounding to me.
