Love the thin mints!

And on a side note, I just read the Memory Keeper's Daughter on your mom's recommendation. What do you think about it so far?

Because of my jaw surgery, I can't eat the coveted thin mints, samoas, etc. But I have a large freezer that will keep them safe for me until I can enjoy them.

only 8 boxes. :)

I'm a sucker. My fav's: do-si-do, samoas, trefoils and I just do without thin mints. I also bought tagalongs and all abouts but they're not my fav's.

Karen,
I really enjoyed the Memory Keeper's Daughter. It was interesting how they followed the story over the years and the effects it had on each family member, even when they had no idea what had really happened. It was also interesting the way the father truly felt (at the beginning) that he was sparing them all from a traumatic life.
What were your thoughts on it?

Placed my order the first day they went on sale.

So was The Memory Keepers Daughter depressing?

I liked it. I liked how it followed the story over the years and showed how the consequences of choices affect people who aren't even aware of the choices. I like how it showed assumptions about Down Syndrome and how so many are incorrect. I don't want to say too much and spoil it for those who have not read it yet.

Amy, I think there is a lot (but not all)of it that is sad, but not depressing.

I really liked the book. It shows us that it is really always the best to be honest, no matter how hard it is. IF you liked that book, you will like My Sister's Keeper.
