Primetime in the Daytime

I finally finished the second season of Veronica Mars. It was so addicting! I always like to have a TV show on DVD. It's perfect when I don't really want to watch a movie at night and it's only 45 minutes per episode. After we finally finished MASH (all 11 seasons) I stumbled upon
Ms. Mars and quickly fell in love with this modern Nancy Drew. David was even willing to watch it with me. I did think that season 2 was a little more risque than season 1 and even season 3 so far. I am not good at keeping up with current network shows, because I always forget when it is on and I am usually busy most evenings, so I am a little out of the loop.
Now that my usual time waster is gone, I need to find a new show to fill it. DL is watching 30 days and it's pretty good, but I need something to watch during naptime while he is at work. So far on my Netflix queue I have the last season of Alias, some law&Order and a ton of the Waltons (kind of nerdy, but I still like it).
I think that I need to branch out.
Any suggestions?

I'm in love with TV on DVD. My personal favorites include Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Felicity, LOST, The Office, and Arrested Development. The last three and Scrubs are the best to get addicted to since they are only half hour episodes. But I DID cry during every episode of Grey's. Take that advice however you want.

Is St. Elsewhere available anywhere these days? It refers to St. Elizabeth's here in Boston, but we used to watch it in the 80's. The head doctor had an austistic son - somewhat ahead of his time.

Your dad and I were wondering if it was really as good as we remembered it to be.

Ditto on scrubs, we love them so much we own them. Perfect for watching while we work out on the eliptical, they are about 25 minutes each. I also love Joan of Arcadia!

Bruce LOVES Scrubs - although he rarely gets to watch it.

People around here love The Office and 24 (neither of which I've seen, but, that means little)

and there is always the O.C. - Karl could tell how that is, or Arrested Development (Noah liked that, I think Hannah too)

Me, we go for Little House on the Prairie, the Brady Bunch, Bewitched and the Cosby Show - the kids like those.

I say get LOST. Not literally. Jeff and I really like LOST and are waiting for season 3 to come out on DVD this fall. (It is too hard for us to remember to watch during the year, so we wait and watch them all later)
I think I'm going to watch Scrubs and My name is Earl next. (I'm actually waiting for Gilmore Girls season 4 to go on sale somewhere. My local video store doesn't have it!)

Karen, see if you library can get Gilmore Girls. I know that ours will get their hands on a copy of pretty much anything if I ask.

Karen, I have GG Season 4 - you can borrow it anytime.

Scrubs is funny, but pretty risque - lots of sex talk and a bit of language.

I still recommend LOST and I would recommend watching it on DVD. We're catching this season on TV and finding it's moving a bit slow for us. We think maybe it's becasue we watched the first two seasons in a month each.

Ahhh Jessi, such kindness to me (and my girls) We got season 2 & 3 for Christmas and been anxiously waiting to watch season 4!

I Love MASH too. I just finished season 10, checked out of "The Mom" library.

Mork and Mindy is good for a few laughs.
And I like Remington Steele, which I watched on friday nights with JT oh so many years ago.

I just watched the 2006 Masterpiece Theatre Jane Eyre. It was 4 hours of tragic beauty. I highly recommend.
