35 weeks

Although I do believe these were taken at 34 weeks. Close enough.
I have fallen in love wioth my Kmart housecoat. They only come in old lady colors and it will fit me well into my 40th week, with room to spare.
When David first saw it, I believe his response was something like, "That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen."
Now he asks me if I am planning on wearing it to church like some others we know.
I don't want you all to think that I have let myself go. You should have seen the killer patent leather platforms I was wearing with the darling hand-me-down black dress from Bonny.
I can still make a positive fashion statement, when needed.

I'm assuming the women wearing housecoats to church are not anywhere near your age.

You look great! When is d-day (d for delivery, that is)?

You look great for 35 weeks! I'm impressed that you would still be wearing platforms, and yet I'm not surprised, stylish momma that you are.

About the housecoats; my mom and dad just go back from a Hawaiian cruise, and at the ports they had a shuttle to wal mart. Yes, a shuttle. And every woman in their group got a floral housecoat from said wal mart, and wore them to church the week they got back!

my first thought was "why is she wearing a hospital gown in her house?"

Karl, I laughed out loud at that comment.
Keli, I have a housecoat from eth Wal-Mart in Hawaii, but I have outgrown it:(
Jessi, the big day is July 17th.

Hey, my friend Cristina has your same due day. She has a scheduled C-section for 7/17. Wow!

Both of your grandmas are confirmed housecoat wearers - and Grandma T. used to wear some classy ones when she was traveling by car.

My mom made me a pink checked housecoat when I went away to college - and I'm really sorry I don't have a picture of it - it was very cute. I wore it home from the hospital when Bonny was born - that's what women did then - they hadn't invented sweats for everyday wear at that point in time - only athletes wore them - and we all know I'm not an athlete!

And I've had some cute ones over the years - I don't have photos of them either, but I'll bet you remember them - one has three-quarter kind of puffy sleeves - sort of brownish. I liked it though - for wearing after you got yourself ready on Sunday a.m. - and then went to get the kids ready!

the thing that cracked me up about hawaii, was the only place to get a mumuu, was at wal-mart.

and i'm glad the black dress is still useful - i loved it.

Phoebe--you look smashing, even in the housecoat which I think is perfectly cute. That is a great black dress!

I admit I've recently picked up a little floral tank night gown from Wal-Mart for when I get out of the shower since I get way too hot while trying to get ready.

So I have never actually bought a house coat but have thought about it lots. It would have been nice after abby was born. You look great by the way. I love the hair cut

Wowzers, I can't believe it's 35 weeks already, and yes, you do still look fab. I am so excited for this new cousin!

And, love the housecoat, love the black (I lived in black the last several weeks of my pregnancy...slimming).
