Let the wild rumpus begin!

Some of you may know that the 30th anniversary of my birth is fast approaching. In honor of this momentous event, I will be celebrating for 30 days. When I say celebrating I mean that I will be making a specific effort to do something fun, meaningful, or celebratory each and every day. Starting today.
This morning I met some of my gal pals (I am sure you will be seeing more of them this month!) for hot chocolate at Moonstruck and then we did a little shopping at Nanny B's. Luckily for us Nanny B's was having a 50% off sale. Unluckily for them, the sale is on because they are closing.
Welcome to 30 days of 30!
If you have any suggestions of ways to celebrate, or if you just want to join in the celebration, please comment!

A movie.

A new outfit.

Some new bath items.

A candle lit dinner with sweetie.

A long Sunday afternoon drive.

A bouquet of flowers just for yourself.

I could go on and on. I guess I'm just selfish like that.

Happy 30 years!

This is such a great idea and since last year (my 30th) stunk for us, I may just have to do this for 31...things are looking up here and I think I might feel more like celebrating.

So, here are my ideas...

Watch TV all day and feel no guilt.

Make cookies and eat as many as you want.

Get a Pedicure.

Buy yourself something you've been wanting for a long, long time.

Sleep in on a weekday (this might be tricky).

Go to Borders (sans children) and hang out in the magazine section reading to your heart's content.

I'm sure I'll come up with more and I'll pass them your way when I do.

Happy Celebrating!

Happy Birthday Phoebe!! I love your idea and think I may have to test it out for my 30th in Feb.

What a fun way to celebrate. I think you should give yourself a new, flattering nickname and insist that everyone call you that. You should also post pictures of yourself in really cute new outfits.

1 lb of handpicked See's chocolates---you can only share a couple of them.

a new shade of nailpolish (this should be on a day after you've done something more extravagant.)

a matinee by yourself

i'll try to think of more. all i can think about right now is the see's chocolates. dang it!

Of course you could throw yourself a disco rollerskating birthday party.

So I'm thinking of 70 days to celebrate when I'm 70 - I'd better start now to stockpile ideas - so I'm taking notes!!

Hey Phoebe,

I was showing my husband your blog tonight and we got all caught up in reading older posts, because you are HILARIOUS. As my husband put it, "she really has a knack for writing."

You might consider selling your amusing musings. Just to put Henry through college, or something so that he doesn't have to become a child model, or similar. :)

I am glad I am just a hop, skip, and a jump away to celebrate with you. I think it's a great idea, and I am on board for every day you'd like to include me (except the candlelight dinner with your man, I will babysit for that).

Phoebe-

Should the opportunity arise within the next 30 days, I would highly recommend that you ride an elephant.
