Henry just read an article out of the Friend Magazine (a church publication for children, for those who are wondering).

He just read it. By himself.

And then he told me all about it.

When did this all happen? When did he start reading? I need to pay better attention.

I love the empowerment of when things just "click" for kids. Like, all of a sudden, they just get it, when five minutes ago . . . they didn't. Seeing that progress was one of my favorite parts of teaching school.
Sounds like its time to break out the "Henry and Mudge" books! Although it is kind of easy, another favorite of Seth's is the new "Fly Guy" series by Ted Arnold (The guy that wrote "Parts.") Oh, and the DK Readers Star Wars series for emerging readers. Seth says it's AWESOME.

Oops. Stupid slow computer. Now that is just embarrassing. You'd think I was trying to hijack your blog or something.
Some people will do anything to see their name in print.

Nice, Henry! I have seen a smaller size click in Olivia, she is reading "Dick and Jane!" Henry is a smarty!

I remember when Bonny started to read- we were driving along and I realized she was reading the billboards out loud to me!

I remember Phoebe reading Foothill and saying Footh hill!

Noah always said Hunting Doctor for Huntington Drive.
