Speaking of Namesake....have you seen the Indian movie Namesake? It is a great movie. Congats on the namesake. I have always loved your name. I do not ever hear of the name Alice either. Names come and go but Phoebe is a keeper.
I went to school with 2 Barbara's. I always thought they had cool names. One went by Barb, the other by Barbie. I never cared much for the Barbie take.
I never knew a Phoebe, but I had a Cabbage Patch Doll named Phoebe. I loved it.
Alice- We have a little neighbor, who is Calvin's age, named Alice. I always think of you when I see her. Keli- My Cabbage Patch Kid's name was Brianna. I thought it was so exotic at the time.
What an honor, Phoebe! And what a wise woman Rachel is for naming her newest girl after you.
There are a lot of Phoebe's and Olivia's and Henry's in Brevin and Lindie's classes. And I never bore of those names because they remind me of great people I know.
Lindie names each of her dolls "Alice" or "Susan". She once looked up at me with those blue eyes asking if I would like to name a baby "Alice" or "Susan." I lied and said, "Oh, yes, what beautiful names."
Michaela announced to everyone in nursery that I am having a baby, and that Randy is too. Neither is true. Babies and baby names. Ahhh.
FYI, Phoebs, but your name has always been at the top of my list of favorite girl names, so you very well may have a second namesake someday. It's a good thing my ex-boyfriend and I broke up because when he thought "Phoebe" he could only think of the Friends character, of which he was not a fan. Would've caused major problems with us, I'm sure. :-)
There are lots of little Phoebes and Alices running around, and for that matter Elizas too. Our moms must have been prescient to the name trends. I have not met any little Barbaras. But there's still time.

I would dearly love a namesake. Lucky you Phoebe, and lucky little Phoebe II.
you have a freakin' awesome name, you deserve a namesake, and especially a cute one like that. :)
She is too cute, how come my newborns are always funny-looking?
I want to be your namesake, I'm tired of my own name.
Congrats to Jon and Rachel - and she's a lovely namesake.
I once met a baby in Centerville named Barbara - she wasn't named after me, but it was interesting to meet such a young person named Barbara.
A couple of years ago there was a Barbara at my school - a student that is. She was named after someone.
Barbara just never made a comeback.
I was wondering the other day whether Rachel had had her baby.
Phoebe, what a perfect name to go with Leah and Esther!
So cute! Congrats Rachel!
Janelle, you have a namesake that lives in our ward. She is two and hair great, red hair.
Mom, don't forget David's sister Barbara. It made a semi-comeback. And you have a namesake in our own little Agnes Mae.
watch out Shiloh Jolie Pitt..check out those awesome pouts?! She is adorable and her name is awesome, just like the original Phoebe :)

I don't feel bad not having too many Barbaras around - kind of keeps us special.
(There must be a million Barbaras working at the LA Temple though - and they are all mostly my age!)
And I treasure my little Agnes Mae namesake.
And I think Alice has made something of a comeback - I run into little girls named Alice quite often.
Phoebe continues to be an enviable name - which is why we chose it!

Congratulations to you all.

Phoebe is a great name! Congrats to Rachel and Jon! (since she hasn't posted anything on her own blog, I will have to leave congratulations here.)
