John and Joan
I really love my family and my husband's family. However, I am trying to figure out a way to get into the good graces of just one more family. That would be the Cusaks (Q-zaks).
What is there not to love about this brother/sister team?
There are 5 kids in their family.
They dropped out of the filming of Stepford Wives because their father was ill.
They have made 10 films together.
Joan tries to do all of her filming in Chicago so that she doesn't have to leave her family.
Joan and I share the same birthday. I could tell she was a Libra!
John was in Say Anything and Better Off Dead.
They were both in Sixteen Candles. Let us never forget Joan with the most heinous headgear you can imagine.
Now that I have professed my love for all things Cusak, go and watch Martian Child. It is most excellent. And super clean, to boot!

So funny you say this. While we were in Portland, we watched an old Qzak flick and I told Mike how much I LOVE them both. They are great. If it works out and you get into their good graces, I'm hoping you'll bring me with you. Thanks in advance--I know you can do it.

I didn't know she lived here. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out. But I do love them as well. She has such a unique look, and can do quirky and classy very well.
It must be a family thing (see b's comment), or maybe a Monrovia thing because I too must echo my love for the Q's. They don't try to be cool, they just are. They are people I'd want to invite to my most cozy dinner party. Oh, the conversations we'd have!

i love the cusaks as well - good family, good people - they seem to like each other and they seem to be smart.
i think i saw every movie john was in about 800 times because my dear friend linda was OBSESSED with him, lo those many years ago.
You can never be "in" with too many families. I love them also!

I, too, love John Cusak and have since Say Anything (my favorite all time movie). I just watched Martian Child last weekend, and loved it too. I am glad to know we have another think in common!
Hey, I'm a Libra too. Great minds think alike. I will have to check out Martian child. Sounds good.
