It is because all is quiet on our western front.
Agnes is asleep and Calvin is at pre-school. Two miracles in one week? Impossible!
Now I must go and watch Gilmore Girls and iron or lay down and read a book.
I still haven't decided which it will be.
Please note that Calvin carries that weird Magtastic ball and stick with him everywhere. He calls it his "king".

I pulled this page up on my computer and all I hear is "Calvin... I LOVE Calvin!" Yes Trenton, I love Calvin too. :D
Way to go on getting some quiet time. I'm not sure what that is anymore.
Love the pictures, and the king is worth carrying around everywhere! Very cool!
awh, the good ol' playschool. Have fun with your quiet time..its hard to come by I am sure..at least I know that to be a FACT for me!
I vote for lying on the couch with a good book!!
My leisure of choice.
Although when Bonny and Harry were both in Primary - and Primary was in the middle of the week - I would go to the fabric store and sit and look at patterns.
Remember what your grandmother said. Never do anything when your kids are asleep that you can do when they are awake.
I vote for a nap.
The king is awesome! I think we all need one! I also think you should just vote no on ironing and just watch gilmore girls (if only I could convert you to Gossip Girl) what a shame...what a shame...
Isn't it lovely. Every afternoon I have two in school and one at nap. At least two hours of quiet bliss. The personal possibilities are endless. Enjoy YOUR time!
Phoebe,
Your blog is so cute...you seem like such a great mom. I am kind of in the same place right now with two kids off to school, and one little napping baby at home. Dreamy!!!
Congrats. What a fun quiet morning. I hope you enjoy many more of those to come. I heart the playschool, too! So many fun memories!
I love those mornings. haven't had one in a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time. Maybe I need to stop doing my business so I can experience real relaxation.
I love Calvin and the king. I wish so badly that you lived next door. Down the street would do. Calvin and Estie would be such buds. They are buds, but they'd be incredible buds.
I vote for reading a good book. I used to take the time but it seems like now I never have time for anything. You would have thought that when you have only one teenager left, you would have some time. Not to be.
Does Calvin's "king" fall apart and go rolling away all the time?
We have some Magtastik toys, and we don't build much with them because the magnets are too weak and things come crashing down too easily. I think I am going to eBay them.
Corri, you are right about the Magtastics. I had high hopes when I bought them, but they are not very good "building" toys. However, they have turned into great accessories and the kids actually use with them as part of their imaginative play all of the time. Once again, I realize that toys are often better utilized when they are not used for their intended purpose!
