I am not ashamed

After our last road trip I swore that if I never had to stop at another McDonald's it would be too soon. They are perfect for the road, though. You can always find one, you can exchange your Redbox movies to keep the kids happy with the DVD player, and you (or your kids) can burn some energy at a Playland. I start to feel pathetic when I realize that I have list of preferred McDonald's while on the road. Some are so much nicer than others, it's true. One of the perils of franchising.
However, just when I become a bit disenchanted with the lame Happy Meal "bags" (why did they get rid of the boxes?), they come up with something hilarious. The return of the Meal boxes but they turn into viking hats. Brilliant! My kids were loving it and once they figured out how to transform their hats, the other kids in the Playland quickly joined in and there were a bunch of mini-Vikings running around. It was pretty awesome.
And even though I swore I wouldn't step foot in another McDonald's unless under extreme duress, just last week I had a distinct craving for a kids' cheeseburger. And who am I to deny myself while pregnant?

Face it, as much as we dislike McDs, our kids love McDs.

Being pregnant give you permission to do many out of the ordinary things.

I've wondered why they got rid of the boxes too and assumed it was an eco thing. And THEN I saw a box the other day, the classic box with the 'M' handles and I almost went and bought myself a Happy Meal. With orange drink, which I don't think they have any more.

Never fear, Kelly. They still have the orange drink and it is still delicious!

Once my sister in law was baby-sitting our niece and nephew. She was having a rough day and asked herself, "What would Bryce and Andra do?" So she took them to a McDonald's play place. Talk about shame! But, apparently it was great.

Your kids even look cute in cardboard viking hats!

I really love how Henry has put the cougars hat on top of the vikings hat! This is really talented as he balances the box and the hat! Very funny picture!!!

So cute!

I always craved McDonald's cheeseburgers when I was pregnant with my boys (detest them at all other times). With Kate it was all about In 'N Out. It was the beginning of a very bad habit...In 'N Out once a week (at least)!
