This is what I have been doing instead.
cleaned out the boys' closet
re-organized the garage
sorted through boxes and boxes and boxes of clothes
addressed the Christmas Cards
went to the Blind Pilot concert
went to the movie
rearranged some furniture
did 6 months worth of mending
painted the kitchen cabinet fronts (actually David did that, but someone had to watch the kids!)
cleaned out 2 of 3 cars
made 30 palm trees (with help!)
cleaned out the linen closet
cleaned out the pantry
did some Christmas shopping
came up with at least 10 new sewing/craft projects to do
read at least 4 books not on my class reading list
I am going to have David make me a little chart so I can check off my school progress each day. Think it will work?

Phoebe, please move to Provo so I can pay you to be my professional organizer. Hey, I have an idea: I'll do your coursework and you can work your magic on my home. Pretty please? I think it would be splendid!
Is David going to take your green goblin away if you don't graduate?
Phoebe, often times I think of procrastination as someone is WASTING time. You, my dear, may be procrastinating, but that is some SERIOUS work you are doing there. I wish my procrastinating skills involved things like these.
I'm not even upset with you; I'm just impressed!
Phoebe - I think you learned to do everything but what needs doing from me - your list looks like classic Granny Babs!!
Now let David take over and heckle you into getting the class done!! Or I can heckle you!! Let me know!
(I have also gone right to the wire to get a class done - you can do it!!)
I am also pretty good at doing things other than the one I really need to do.
I would try the chart. Checking things off can motivate people.
WOW Phoebes... I am so proud of you! Way to go girl! I don't know how you are doing everything with four kids... bravo! I still have nightmares that I have a final the next day and didn't study.... it's almost over. We miss you guys!
