Just wrastlin' some gators

My children have a new game. They have been playing Swamp People for the last 3 days. When they were at a friend's house they saw part of an episode on TV and now they cannot get enough of pretending to find the gators, wrestle them down and then shoot them with a Nerf gun. After they get a few gators, Calvin gets into his "uniform". The uniform is Henry's bathrobe. Once Calvin is in his uniform they sell the alligators to each other. So far they have made $350, so I figure it's also teaching them about math and the value of a dollar. The good thing about this game is that all of the kids, even Sully, get to play. It mostly involves a lot of blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and a box that they use as their boat. It's kind of a mess, but not too bad and it keeps them playing happily for a few hours. I am sure that next week it will evolve into some game involving trailer parks and mullets. At least I can only hope it will.

I do hope it evolves into a game involving trailer parks and mullets. And that you take pictures!

I love it when kids play together creatively. It is the best.

Thanks for the laugh!

Reminds me of when Hannah, Noah and Eliza played motorcycle in the dining room - they just put on what they thought was motorcycle clothing - and bike helmets and swim goggles - and sat on chairs behind each other - and had the time of their lives. And I do have pictures to prove it!

The best part of the motorcycle game is that I'm pretty sure we were home alone for that and Mom and Dad came home to find us like that. So I must have been 10ish.

So my question now is--since I've never seen Swamp People--do they sell the gators to each other on the show, too?
