Here's a little story...
I miss In-n-out. DL misses it too. What is there not to miss.
A few people had told us that when we moved here we HAD to go to Burgerville. It was JUST as good as In-n-out. (We all know that is impossible) So there is a Burgerville down the way here and I have been a few times. Here is my assessment.
1. Some burgers are tastier than others. I would suggest the Bacon Cheeseburger. Pretty tasty. But it should be for $4.00.
2. I appreciate that Burgerville is a proponent of sustainable agriculture. They buy local and in season. So when I went to get another VERY tasty Triple Berry Shake, they don't sell them anymore. Berries are out of season. I was disappointed. But they do have a yummy Pumpkin Shake instead.
3. The kids meal comes with a cool plastic kids plate instead of a useless toy.
4. They have a huge menu. This is hard for me. I appreciate that I have very few choices at In-n-out. DL and I are terrible at making small decisions.
5. I have probably been to the same Burgerville 4 or 5 times since I moved here. Now this is no exaggeration, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone there, the person helping me has been MISSING TEETH.
And every time I have gone I have been helped by a different person.
PS I can't wait to go home for the Holidays. I will eat at In-n-out at least 5 times. Easily.

I love that, makes you wonder a little about the burgers? By the way I need your new address and phone number.
I miss In-N-Out as well!!! Every time I'm back in CA I get it at least twice. There is nothing out here that even comes close.
(Poor Jeff when I was pregnant and nothing sounded good except an In-N-Out burger. There was nothing he could do.)
I LOVE In-N-Out. I love the food, I love the people, I love the way they run their business.
But now that Esther's passed away, I worry how long it will last.
I too love In N Out - but not with the same intensity as my kids do.
Becuase, I have to say, there has been more than one time when some burgers were tastier than others I'd had.
But I love the limited choices. Small decisions are tough for me too.
