Wellies

The rain hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. But I guess that nothing can be too bad when you get to wear shoes like these.

Henry and Calvin's must be so tiny, because yours look so HUGE next to them, haha.

In all the years I lived in cold, rainy and snowy climes, I never had cute boots to wear. In fact, if Ernie and Frances had not taken pity on me the year Bonny was born, I would never have had any boots at all. (They bought me a very serviceable pair of boots made of some rubbery material that were lined with sheepskin. Not too cute - but very toasty!)

The boots lasted a long time - maybe 10 years or more.

I don't want anyone to think that I didn't appreciate the boots - I'm sure I would not have had any place to wear a fashionable pair - and with my innate klutziness, sturdy was what was needed for me - to protect Bonny for one thing - I would undoubtedly slipped and fallen in some snazzy ones - although I can say that I never fell with a kid in my arms!!

(If you'd ever seen me on ice, you would appreciate that fact!!)

Elizabeth had some rockin' wellies last year. So rockin' that someone has them, I won't say stole because I may have left them, but apparently when you get your hands on some pink rain boots with leopard spots it is hard to give them back.

Your green ones are amazing!
