Henry woke up to a special birthday breakfast made by David, Waffled French Toast. Yum!
At school he brought a treat to share (popscicles) and he got to choose a special prize. After school Henry and Calvin went into the city with me to spend some time with David while I got my haircut. An added bonus, David was able to come home early from work after my haircut!
Henry chose bowling as our special family activity that afternoon. Then on to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes, also his choice. Because, he said, he can have as much mac n'cheese and ice cream as he wants there.
We came home to find a few friends had left him presents and notes on our door. Then we went inside to open the rest. He had been dying to open his presents all week.
Calvin couldn't stand it any longer and had to help Henry open his gifts. Luckily, Henry was a good sport about it.We were still so full from dinner that we waited to have cake the next day. That way we can spread the celebration out.
