Spanish peanuts are the ones with the skins on that are a bit salty.

And I loved that too - minus the raisins of course!

The raisins were my addition in an attempt to be healthy.

My kids love this.....they call it gorp. They like to add all kinds of cereal to the mix. Yum!!

When did my Mom make that for you guys? We sure don't remember getting a treat like that! We only remember non-chocolate things!

Heather, I think I remember eating it at Butterfield? But my mom also remembers your mom making it.

I do remember her making something like this when she was going through her backpacking phase, we would each get our own bag for the hike.

I remember her making it as a treat at birthday parties.

And it does surprise me about the M&M's - maybe she did that so she wouldn't be tempted to eat it!

I didn't really remember this snack until Barbara mentioned birthday parties. Now I remember.

You are right Barbara, putting chocolate in to keep her out sounds just like something mom would do.
