First person to name where we are gets a prize. I am not sure what the prize might be, but I will send something! All I can say is that these spots had no meaning to me. I hadn't quite had the pop culture exposure to fully understand. But David was very excited and had to call his sisters to talk about it since I wasn't quite as into it as he had hoped.
Hey, I was just checkin' in on you. You look beautiful and amazing. Is it Astoria and Goonies? It looks like it. My Mr. Man and I went there on our honeymoon but I'm not sure.
Anyhow, I love your post about leaving young womens to be on the activities committee.
I left my young women in Mississippi and I miss them so much. I'm a party planner now too.
Goonies is fabulous. I haven't seen it in years, but it's very funny.
(that said, I had no idea where you were until I read the comments. I've only seen it a handful of times and it has been since high school. If you had had a picture of a cliff, perhaps with a pirate ship in the distance, then I would have recognized it.)

I'm pretty sure it's Astoria - since you just went there - but I have no idea why it's so significant - other than looking interesting.
Dang it, I wanted to win the prize! Astoria/Goonies sites. But I can't tell if the first or second house is the Walsh's house? I vote second.
And Phoeb, I have it on VHS if you ever need to watch it... it's so funny.
AND... I really enjoy the strapping young Josh Brolin. And Dawn has a crush on Sean Astin and has mentioned this to me many times. Good times.

My kids watch Goonies all the time. Heads up on the language though.
By the way . . . I heard Willie singing "Blue Skies" coming home from the gym this morning and thought of you!
Astoria, the house where goonies was filmed....of course I am totally late...but what a fun place :)
Congrats on Ward Activities! And it cracks me up that I have been to Astoria so many times, never knowing that that is where Goonies was filmed!!!
And I have never seen Goonies. Don't even know what it's about.
Just bought Goonies on DVD. Luke loves it. I'm just hoping the language doesn't spill out his mouth.
