Camp Run-A-Muck

Camp Check In involves a welcome banner and group assignments
The aftermath of the name tag station.
The kids seemed to enjoy personalizing their name tags.
Actually wearing them they did not seem to enjoy.
 Tie-dye prep station
I should have taken a picture of my hands afterwards.  Completely purple!
 Shaved Ice makes everything better.
So does buying snow cone syrup by the bottle at Cash and Carry.
Best idea EVER!  Now we are set for the rest of the summer.
If you ever want a snow cone, just stop by!  We are prepared.
Doing marshmallow towers made me feel like I was doing something slightly educational,
but it turned out to be the most popular station.

The kids rotated stations in their groups.
Seemed to work out pretty well and made managing all the kids (16!) pretty easy.
This turned out to be a really fun day.
My kids loved helping plan the activities and
they seemed to happy to have their friends over for "structured" play.
Their favorite part has been wearing their tie-dyed shirts.  I definitely want to do that activity again.  It was fun to see how they all turned out and to see how different each child wanted theirs.  Calvin was very specific in "red and blue ONLY!"  He'll be sporting his new creation on the 4th of July.

I'm already planning what I'll do next year at Camp Run-A-Muck.
Any suggestions?

Did you do this daily for a week or is there one a week for the next few weeks?

Looks like lots of fun!! Stations are the way to manage any group of kids!! I do it still at middle school!

Looks like lots of fun (and lots of work!) You are one brave lady to have 16 kids for a day.
